The Jean Pigozzi African Art Collection

Monsango Shula

Jean-Bosco Monsengo, called SHULA, born on Jan. 28th, 1959 in Bandundu (Nioki), learned and worked with the well known painter Moke. Later he joined to the group of Cheri Cherin and created his own art-style. He is well known for political themes. His pictures frequently reflect the dream of the poor and simple African of riches and better life.
