In the exhibition,the works of artists from various African ethnic groups meet painting, sculpture, graphics, photography and film from Classical Modern Europe and African contemporary art. The show makes it possible to experience the diverse style repertoire of African art and its reception in Cubism, Dadaism and Surrealism. In addition, exemplary positions by contemporary artists such as Chéri Samba, Maître Syms, Gonçalo Mabunda or John Edmonds will be presented, whose works critically reflect on the European avant-garde and how they deal with African art.
